I have used TurboTax for many years and wanted to find a cheaper option for my taxes this year. I googled "Free Tax Filing" and TurboTax was advertising a sale for the month of February: Free tax filing, no matter your tax situation, when using the mobile app. I thought I had scored and spent hours completing the documents on my mobile app, only to find that they were in fact charging me at the end. I had even denied the "Upgrade to MAX' add at the beginning of filing. Will not be falling for it or using this service again.

I've used TurboTax for years. This year, for the first time, I used the online version. It took longer than I exected to get accustomed to the differences from DVD vesion fromprevious years, but I eventually figured it out.
Pros: My employment status changed this year

GREAT AFFORDABLE PROGRAM

I love this program! I am 79 almost 80 and handle financials for my husband and myself. This program is easy to read and has explanations to help me understand difficult features. The accuracy is great and certainly compatible for seniors. The only caveat like everything else these days is the cost, but even that is not a bad comparative to others.
