Turbo tax is okay

Basically easy. Wish some information on house sale was more detailed and ability to have a question answered without having to pay extra.

Back in for a double check

Got taxes files, or so I thought. We had a family issue occur and didn't get back to check the email until a week or two later. Shocked to see the medical insurance information was rejected, went back in and turbo tax showed me step by step. Got it done and resubmitted!

TurboTax Web App not so good...

I've used the desktop version for many years and this simply is not as good. Clunky, slow, help often refers to desktop version, inability to access particular details in form (e.g. 3rd party designee for discussing with IRS) or inability to correct forms that were read incorrectly (one 1099 was read in so that part of my street address, CT, was read in as the state and it wouldn't let me fix it - I ended up having to delete the form and enter all by hand). Oh, and it seems more expensive than the desktop version.

Use it Because I Always Have But Just Average

I like that it imports some of my tax forms and pulls data from previous years’ returns; however, it doesn’t allow you to correct payer info (which isn’t even on the Form 8949). So I had to file by mail instead of email. I also don’t like that it asks numerous times if you’d like to upgrade your chosen package. Ask me once. You don’t have to keep asking me.
