Turbo Tax is average

Too many prompts to upgrade to the next tier, that it actually started to get annoying. I am considering using a different tax software next year.

Step by step guide which is easy and not confusing. Assistance if needed. It takes you back if an error was placed and you can always review

Keep seeing adds that this site is free!! No it is not!! charged me over $150 to file my return. This is why i switched to a different site years ago. Learned my lesson and will be going back to other site!!!

Consistently good program with a few minor bugs

Generally good. Difficult to get past the initial upsell (Doesn't give an obvious exit button on the initial entry screen). Once you are in the flow, it is not a problem. It is also tricky to get back to where you jumped out if you need to go back and check something. Sometimes you have to push through a number of previous steps to get to the point you really were. I did have one place where it froze up, requiring a bit of a redo. Finally, for some reason, it created new lines for 2024 for two of my businesses, so I had one line for 2023 and one for 2024 for each. All in all, these are minor annoyances. The program does what it does quite well.
