love using turbo tax. i've been using them for the past four years, and they never disappoint. it makes doing taxes super fun and easy. finsihed my taxes this year in 40 minutes! totally recommend for anyone that doesn't have a lot of time on their hands to get it done.

Expensive, Predatory, Popups

Product is expensive with consideration for its user base and the extent of what it does. There are other cheaper or free services out there that achieve the same thing, but I'm using it this year at least because of the switching cost associated with moving to a different service.
The pop-ups for additional services and fees while filing are an annoyance to an already annoying task of filing taxes. Product buries the lede in several areas including 'pay with refund' option - sounds good in theory, but hidden behind that screen is yet another fee they were not upfront about.

great experience until the final check

Great experience -- until the last step of verifying the final returns. Almost always seems to find missing information that it should have told me about while I was in the middle of entering the information. And the stupid correction screen in TurboTax often does not even let me make a correction. So I end up having to print and mail my returns instead of e-filing.
