TT goes into a loop and gets stuck.

My experience with TurboTax (TT) was ok. It wasn't difficult to manuvere thru. I didn't use an Expert but I did ask one or two questions.
The TT application/program did get stuck & it looped under the Federal return section. I had to log in and out for several days.
