LOVE TurboTax

TurboTax took care of completing and filing 27 pages of tax documents for me and it took less than 90 minutes. Questions were intuitive, easy to understand (and if I did have a question I could use the help screen and it explained it in better detail). Especially as someone who was an independent contractor for the first time with my new business it took the guess work out of everything. I also like the option of adding identity theft monitoring each year (and do so!). It has caught numerous times when my passwords or information was found on the dark web so I could take appropriate action.

The last final section is ridiculous

Everything was straightforward and simple until the very last step when TurboTax asks you for a plethora of other details, including drivers license and last year's returns. Except, they tell you what they need piece by piece, so you're running around finding the IDs and documents. Then the way they word "last year's" return is way too confusing. If I said I filed jointly with my spouse, why are you asking for each of our AGI? It's the same number. And there's no explanation to clear up my question. This service is a pain in the butt to use.

The software walked me through the tax info required, making as simple as can be expected. I had an issue with the final upload to the IRS but a very patient gentleman called me and fixed my issue.
