Thank you for the shout-out to our team. We know every tax situation is unique, and we’re happy our tax experts were able to provide the specific guidance you were looking for.
As with last year, this was a very good experience. The only trouble I had was in verifying that I had indeed chosen the standard deduction option after I had filled in our qualified deductions to figure out what was our best option. I finally found the "change my deduction" option I was told to look for. It would be good if I was offered that chance easily when I got done with that action. Because you told me the SD would be best, but didn't offer the chance to change it then. And when we select the standard deduction after filling everything in. why does it keep telling me to go back and change a couple of those entries? Why doesn't it just ignore them, or even better yet, delete them?
