I used TurboTax for over a decade and the fees were pretty straightforward back then. I do not like that the returns get progressively more expensive at points where it's not worth it to start over on an actually free or flat fee quoted platform. However, it was an overall pleasant experience for my first time filing as an independent contractor. Yet, that's all the more reason why I would appreciate knowing the cost of doing business with TurboTax upfront.

It's constantly pushing you to pay more for live help, even when you don't need it, and the platform makes it hard to find the cheaper options. Extremely predatory! Probably moving to a new system next year.

Always a good service

Always love having an easy and fast option to do my taxes with help at home vs. having to pay more to work with a financial institution. I do wish the help info was a little more direct especially where what and what things are on forms, like box numbers, etc.
