I have been using TurboTax since 2004. I have been very happy every year. I will say that over the years it has gotten user friendly. Very easy to use in 2025. Took me 56 minutes to complete my return...

Stop Lobbying My Government

Don't appreciate the massive upcharge for sole proprietors. Don't appreciate the sneaky $40 processing fee you tried to sneak on at the end to pay for the service with my return. Many people probably don't even notice you slip that on there and what exactly they're paying for. I would happily put the software use payment on a credit card and pay it off with my return on my own later, than pay $40 for a "processing fee" -- criminal -- and of course you don't make this clear to people at all.

Pretty Straightforward

This make taxes pretty straight forward. There were a few glitches when submitting forms as some of the info wasn't interpreted correctly. So double-check and don't assume they have it correct. It always takes me longer than they say it will, but maybe I am just being careful and double-checking.
