TurboTax thoughts

On the lower level version that I used getting answers was not really possible. This version should have a quick chat with a live person. I have used Turbo Tax almost since inception. The early version on CD was a very reasonable price. Also in the earlier versions there was a lot of free support and audit protection.
Things do seem to be very detailed and pretty user friendly. One thing that was a little confusing was the tax refund that appeared after working on the state tax. It kept showing my refund as $2,192. This figure had already subtracted what I owed to the state. My actual Fed, return was $2,383.00. I would prefer to keep that refund for federal seperate from the state tax.
