It's easy to follow through, easy to do, quick, and painless. I do my kids taxes on it and it's free. For me it saves me about $500 from taking in to the green box place.

Price for what you get is painful and embarrassing

Simple and kinda fast, but EXPENSIVE AND SHOULD BE FREE if you do your own taxes. I should not have to pay $40 to have my $80+ order taken out of my refund either, but that transaction fee is ridiculous. I could drive a check to where it needs to be for that amount! The price for what you get out of this "service" is

It's great if your tax return is uncomplicated

I will be looking for a new tax service next year after using Turbotax for nearly a decade. It's convenient which I love, but when you actually need to talk to somebody about issues you get 10 different answers from 10 different people and they're all wrong. It's perfect if you have a fairly uncomplicated tax return and I hope to eventually get back to that state, but for now I've been frustrated with Turbotax too many times to keep using it.

Used to be an HRBlock customer and after a foul-up on their application when I needed to make a payment and had a payment plan set, I ended up having to pay the entire bill in one shot.
