Gets the job done, but harder than it should be.

It gets the job done, but makes it more difficult than it should be to to see their calculations. My pet peeve is that after I spent some time entering my itemized deductions, it says that "We (meaning TurboTax) found you some tax breaks!". No, *I* found those tax breaks, thank you very much.

Not worth the hassle anymore for basic returns

Too expensive for what is offered if you are taking the standard deduction, constantly tries to upsell you services you don't need and get you to give away your data or opt into other advertising and services.
Stop the upselling and deceptive practices!
