horrible experience 2025

ran into a bug this year where my 1099 wouldnt correctly import and manually typing it made no difference it would just keep automatically pulling a random address and saying error.

Cartoons Are Extraneous

Does a fine job prompting for income/expenses/etc., but has way too many animations and pointless interstitial screens. Other services achieve the same refund amount faster.

Experience felt worse from last year. Basically this product "works" and is probably the "best alternative" but it's not "good" UX wise.
It's full of confusing phrasing, annoying wizard-like UIs that you need constantly go back to correct mistakes, which makes it hard to navigate and find things if you need to correct anything.
This reeks of an illegal monopoly that just needs to be "good enough to work"
