Easy to use, AI answers questions without issues. My only complaint is that I had to pay $129 because I had a 1099 from Stash, an investment account (awesome for beginners like me). Again, I just started so in 2024 I made about $200 big ones. A small amount but now with this extra fee from Turbo Tax it is even less. I understand more info = more money that we will be charged but it stinks :( Otherwise I love turbo tax but will be filing on my own next year to avoid the fee.
My amazing wife has always done our taxes (with TurboTax) and had asked that I handle it this year. Got thru it without any headaches. TurboTax was easy to navigate, intuitive and and uncomplicated without missing anything.
This year I ended up having to look up a lot of information on the IRS website because the information that I needed was not clearly explained in TurboTax. Overall, as a self-employed person, I feel like the product is less and less useful to me, as I have to do a lot of research on my own to figure out what can and can't be deducted. Lastly, my spouse is a non-resident alien, which makes e-filing impossible. This seems like a fixable problem and I fail to see why TurboTax hasn't been able to fix it yet.
