It's work, but it's worth it

I had some new stuff this year and that also means a lot of paperwork. I got so hungry at one point, so I just gave myself a break. But the many questions to get me through the process were waiting for me. I do appreciate this level of expertise to drag me through.

Need to give a military filer a break.

As a uniformed military member with a different state residency than your wife should not be this complicated. Add new questions to clarify residency...make it more intuitive. Also, no reason to have to go line by line to clarify that military income was not earned by your spouse is the state you are currently living in. The spouse should be able to e-file not mail-in.

Irritated with turbotax

Forced me to pay for premium because I had to submit a 1099-NEC. Then made me pay for them using data from my federal tax on my state tax return. Feeling very frustrated with the "free tax service" that TurboTax has been providing.
