Tough Sledding in 2026

Enormously tough sledding this year. I wished to e - file, had recently moved homes/offices and could not get my hands on my 2024 Federal Tax Return, but in order to e file, I had to figure out my AGI from 2024. The request comes at the 12th hour, as it is tucked into the final survey question.
I would suggest you alert the consumer to this requirement at the start of their compilation.

Surprisingly Easy Process with Turbo Tax

The process of filling my taxes with Turbo Tax was very easy. I really enjoyed the process and all the very valuable guidance. I feel that last year I left so much on the table by relying on another person to do my taxes for me. I will surely come back and work with turbo tax next year.

much worse than the desktop version

Cumbersome, hard to modify data that have been entered. I was told by an advisor that to change my filing status from Single to Head of the household I had to delete all the info I have entered and start from scratch. As a result, I had to spend another 2 hours to fill everything again.

Nickel and Dime Ripoff

I have to pay an extra $40 to use my tax refund to pay and then another $35 if I want my money sent to my account as opposed to going through Credit Karma? That's ridiculous.
Furthermore, disqualifying people from the free version for literally any reason at all and forcing them into the most expensive product because they did gig economy work is severely messed up. I will be looking for alternatives next year for sure.
