I've been using TurboTax for over 20 years and I haven't had any problems yet. It makes no sense that the IRS can't just process all these forms though.
I've used TurboTax for years and it is a good product. I had one confusing item re QBI on the Schedule C, but apparently my fill in the blank worked. I couldn't see a way to go back and state that my inventory method had not changed, so I just wrote it in as a note.
Misleading Upgrades Required/Longer Expected Times

I was initially excited about how easy it was to file my taxes this year, especially since I had filed previously and all my information was already on file. The process felt smooth at first, but my experience took a frustrating turn. Despite declining the upgrade to Premium multiple times, I was ultimately forced to upgrade at the very end—something that should have been made clear much earlier in the process. Instead of knowing upfront that an upgrade was required, I went through the entire filing process only to be hit with the mandatory upgrade at the final step, which felt misleading and frustrating.
On top of that, the estimated time for completion was far shorter than the actual time it took, which only added to my frustration. While I’m relieved that my taxes are finally done, I can’t help but feel that TurboTax could be more transparent about pricing requirements from the start. It would make for a much more honest and stress-free experience.
Turbo tax lets people have a detailed breakdown of their taxes. It touches every detail needed to file taxes adequately and efficiently. I feel like there are hidden fees that are not stated up front. This is discouraging, after thinking you are going to get back a certain amount, only to find out right before filing that it's different. All associated fees should be disclosed upfront.
