TurboTax makes me look forward to doing my taxes

I have been using TurboTax since I was in college 15 years ago and they have continued to hone their craft each year. They set the bar for how to make an activity most humans dread into one that is not only bearable, but even enjoyable. Because the TurboTax experience is so seamless, I actually look forward to doing my taxes. Thanks TurboTax team!

Convenient but only easy to use for the happy path

TurboTax requires too much “assumed knowledge” about our crazy tax code. It walks you through the easy stuff, but leaves you to fend for yourself for the more advanced topics.
The frequent upselling is also really annoying.
