Simple to follow. Helpful. I received a rental credit that I wouldn't have gotten when I was first using a free tax service. Well worth it.

TurboTax Overpriced Scam

Personally, I use TurboTax because filing crypto is a real pain and TurboTax integrates it well with Cointracker. Do I still think TurboTax is a scam and overly charges for what should be free? Yes. Fortunately, I'm in a situation where I can pay the overpriced fees but I still wouldn't recommend it to anyone.

Only tax tool I will use

I have been using Turbo Tax for over 15 years and never had any issues. One time I had a CPA prepare taxes and they got the same #s, but cost 3 times as much. Turbo Tax walks you through everything and now that I'm so familiar with it, I feel comfortable jumping around as I get my tax docs.

For the standard deduction route, this is a great option. I was paying upwards to $400 a year for my tax preparation.

Frustrating!

I kept having to input my financial institution information and data over and over. 3 times at least. It would import the data then ask me to manually input it. Frustrating!
