Its definitely better than other tax filing services ive used. im a bit frustrated and didnt give five stars cause im literally in the midst of my legal name change and it didnt give me the opportunity or the reassurance that that wouldnt cause problems (i have the court order and changed it with the SSA but NOT my bank or license just yet) Otherwise ive learned my mistake from last year and will be continuing to use TurboTax for my Tax filing

Confusing & Expensive

I've used TurboTax for years but was disappointed with my experience this year. The 1099 filing process was more confusing than it was when I last filed a 1099 (4 years ago). Making any help live solely behind a $150 paywall, when I'm already paying $90 to file, made understanding the tax experience feel even more inaccessible to me, as an average American taxpayer. In a world where this experience is already daunting, TurboTax markets itself as a friendly option to assist us in this process, but I felt as though TurboTax majorly missed the mark.
