Turbo Tax Sucks

Intuit Turbo Tax is a terrible company actively lobbying to to obfuscate the tax code while bilking citizens out of there cash for there ever escalating fee schedules. Absolute scum.

Love TurboTax

TurboTax is a very convenient program to fill out and file income taxes. The only suggestion i make is maintain the software the same from year to year. It took me longer as the some of the layout and questions seemed to be different than last year.

Easy filing by yourself

Pretty easy to file my taxes on my own with TurboTax. Been doing it myself the last few years and besides a few minor hiccups I haven't had any serious issues

Effective but encrapified

Cluttered mess. The wizard approach asks the same questions repeatedly, and constantly offers upcharges and upgrades. The initial start now asks for consent for additional unnecessary things. It's a challenge to not accidently sign up for extra things or accidentally lose your privacy. The core logic is pretty good and thorough, but as a whole, TurboTax now seems almost as complex as filling out the forms it was designed to simplify. Some parts are no longer intuitive.
