Turbotax adds fees

Although Turbotax tries to look for as many tax breaks as they can to get you money, the amount of fees they add on at the end trying to get you is ridiculous. If you file and have the fees removed from your return, they automatically tack on an additional $40 fee. Absolutely absurd when you're already taking out money for filing anyway.

questionable practices to get users to upgrade

easy to use but Turbotax is always trying to get you to upgrade to higher cost options of service. Will automatically change your choice of servie to MAX or similar upgrade at higher cost, constantly asks if you are sure you don't want to change to higher cost service, formatting and wording that makes it difficult to choose more basic options, forcing manual opting out of higher cos services, etc. They got me this year; as I filed on my computer the payment to file wasn't going through, and I ended up having to file on my phone due to the bug. However I did not notice that Turbotax had upgraded my service to premium yet again and I didn't notice until after I paid the filing cost. Very disappointed in these shady business practices.
