Looking to take my business elsewhere

As a long-term user of TurboTax products, I am at the point of switching to another brand of tax preparation software. Up until now, the built-in marketing add-ons each year have been increasingly annoying yet tolerable. However, this year's built-in forced upgrade to TurboTax Premium crossed the line. Ever year prior to this one I have had straightforward stock sale transactions that TurboTax handled without any problems. This year my tax return was literally held hostage until I paid for the TurboTax Premium upgrade. This is a very heavy-handed sales tactic towards loyal, long-term users of your products. I am very disappointed in your approach as it shows a distinct lack of respect for your customers.

It worked fine; I just prefer the old downloadable desktop version.

Difficult to move around and Deceptive

Great software system, very user friendly, the help search system contains great information and assists the user on what to file. Highly recommend to anyone for their first experience filing on their own.
