Turbo tax has taken a step backward.

The software is not intuitive for a self-filer. Turbo Tax seems to encourage the self-filer to pay extra money and use their "tax experts."

TurboTax makes it easy - MN return was frustrating

The online software guides you through the entire process. The only issue I had was a "bug" (seemingly acknowledged by TurboTax, but not fixed over the several days I used the software) that forced a MN form (M1QPEN) for pension, even though my wife and I didn't receive a pension. The software wouldn't let me get passed this point. I eventually added "NA" type information, and deleted the specific form from my return. Shouldn't have had to jump through all those hoops!

I don't like that the package is automatically chosen. I would like a chance to select the package I want & give an option to upgrade each step.

It is just so easy to use. I have been using TurboTax for many years and it is easy and finds all the breaks. I am excited that I even complete my taxes in less time than predicted and my timing improves every year.

Fast and Easy to use - especially when using multiple years, since all/most info carries over from the previous years and all you have to do is update dollar amounts and/or changes to your personal situation.
Pros: My employment status changed this year
