Very Confusing this year!

I have been preparing my taxes with TurboTax for many years. This year is the first year that I found it confusing and had to do a lot of research to figure out how to answer some of the questions. It asked me for RMD amounts on Pensions, which don't really apply. It never asked me if I sold a home and bought another, so I had to file an amended return when I belatedly received a 1099-S in the mail! Then TurboTax asked me for more money to upgrade to Premium in order to file the amended returns.

Missing step in 2nd Review of State Taxes

There was one thing on the State Income Tax that came up the first time I stated the review and then I couldn't find it again. It was for the asset for the Independent contractor over time assets for state CA taxes.

I always used Turbo Tax prior to being married. After marriage, especially with children, taxes became more complicated, so we just relied on our accountant. So Expensive! Turbo Tax simplifies everything, so now we're back! The interview is more thorough than our tax professional and helped us maximize our refund, without the high cost of the accontant.
