I got caught in loops several times, and actually had to reenter 1099 data as new job, and erase the original. It was a waist of time. There were other instances like that. Including the fact the program would not accept data as entered on Maura's W-2. I had to alter it, and make the employer's ID number different in format than had been accepted for 2023. Even though it was exactly the same for 23 and 24 on the W-2.
It was easy to use BUT they kept forcing me to pay a higher amount. Their commercials all talk about how cheap it is, but every time you add the tiniest thing, they say you are no longer qualified for this service and must move up to the higher price level. I paid less for my taxes to be done by a CPA last year and I had more that needed to be done. I most likely will go back to the CPA in the future.
If you're retired and your taxes are basic or even if you're working and you don't have a whole bunch of deductions, possibly just the standard deduction turbo taxes, easy peasy !
