Great product with ONE MAJOR FLAW

I love Turbo Tax for almost every thing - the way they simplify the process with easy questions and explanations. Ours is a VERY basis return, using standard deductions. It should take me an hour or two tops. Instead I spend ALL DAY because even though TurboTax imports our investment data from our financial company, I am always required to review and edit almost every stock trade performed during the year. I have to indicate if it is short or long term, verify the format of the acquisition date, and enter additional data that I can only get by printing and pouring over the dozens of pages in the 1099 statement - which Turbo Tax HAS! This is not satisfactory at all.

Not sure what TurboTax did with their latest update, but it was very inconvenient to have to enter a ton of information by hand.

Turbo tax is money hungry...

The set up they have to file your taxes is very simple and easy to understand. Makes it quick easy and less stressful to file your taxes. The only issue I have is when I started filling it was supposed to only cost me 40.00 to file, they force you to upgrade your stuff by not giving to an option to only pay the 40.00 originally offered. They wait until the end of filing your taxes when you about to hit the e file button and then won't let you continue on with submitting your information unless you choose one of the more expensive charges which is at LEAST 40 or 50 dollars more, then when you chose your method of payment they only give you the option to deposit to is the bank THEIR associated with free or charging 25.00 to have it deposited into your own bank account. And not just that they then charge you another 40.00(that should be included in the original 40.00) to process the payment. All and all it changed me almost 160.00 to file my taxes when it should have only cost me 40.00...
