Turbotax is ripping off service members

I've been charged for filing every year even though I'm military. Then it deducts a processing fee for deducting it from the refund. Lost 130 dollars when I'm not supposed to pay at all. What a scam

Good enough?

In general, I like your platform, you simplify a lot of things and every year it does get better. You don't have control over every aspect of how you get information but you are clearly working with various vendors to make it better. There are a few annoying things like deeper comparisons between previous and current years explaining differences, especially when they are large and expensive.
For Example, when children transition from not being a dependent and your filing status changes, this could have been predicted or raised as a concern as the children age, to make sure to adjust federal and state withholdings, especially assuming nothing changes. This scenario could be handled better. I also found the w4 steps that you do have, overly complicated and wording unclear and also didn't see a matching state form. You have all my tax information for years and you were unable to explain that a shift in filling status could have significant impacts on my tax responsibilities and that is why I now owe a large amount compared to last year. Trying to sell me a live expert only makes things more frustrating when negative tax payments are already hurting, yes, you are a business, but we are people and many are just average hard working individuals, don't kick people who are already forced to pay large amounts.
