Turbo Tax is Pretty Good

Turbo Tax covers all of the items but you should spend most much time repeating the same screens if you want to make one small change.
You should be able to see the detailed tax returns before you go to file so you can really check the details. For the federal return you can see a high level summary but for the state return there is NOTHING to look at before you go to file.
The option to load data from your bank or from a file only works if you have a very simple 1099. If you have more than one item on your 1099 it is still best to load the data manually. I WASTED A LOT OF TIME trying to load data from files on my computer.

One basic form needed to complete my return and turbo tax sees it as an opportunity to capitalize on its loyal customers by forcing them to upgrade their account. Next year I will be exploring other options.

Happy to have both Federal and State taxes filed in an hour and half. Each year my tax return is easier to file as TurboTax is able to pull my information in without much effort from me.
