Straightforward process and remembers information from previous years. Also usually very easy to pull in information electronically to avoid manual keying.

Used to be a good product, now it just upsells

First, the platform tries to upsell you far too often. Second, the instructions provided by the AI chat are inconsistent, and the first instruction was both incorrect and literally impossible to execute (was guiding me to the wrong section - I only figured this out by wording my inquiry differently). Of course, it suggests getting Live Help (with the obligatory upcharge) to resolve the issue if AI can't.

Turbotax should not be charging such high amounts to file and process what you are legally required to do. It costs an extremely high amount for something that is not even tangible in anyway. In fact tax filing should not have fees or any cost if you are bound by law to report it by a certain date.
