I have used TurboTax for many years and it works for me. It is pretty simple to use, however, some of the explanations need to be simplified, especially those about college tuition.
We had a 1099-INT and were forced to use their automated scanning. No way to edit the automated address portion of the AI and it was mixing the addresses it found into new and obviously non-existing ones.
In fairness, the $371,000,000 activity bond interest (which was actually a goof on the Payers TIN) that it entered was laughably and easily changed.
I really like the comparisons to last year as they help a lot. I like the import of income forms by PDF. That is great. On the TurboTax payment page where it asks about how to pay the taxes owed it showed my debit account from last year (now closed). It appeared to me that I was committing to that account again and I spent 20 minutes trying to find where to change it. There should be a notice on that page such as "You will have a chance to change the debit account later."
