Bait and switch tactics and hidden fees.

Was frustrated after filing "for free" when i was charged nearly half of my refund at the end of the session. 40 dollar fee for paying with your refund should be illegal.

TurboTax Upgrade Hard Sell

I've been using TurboTax for over 20 years and normally give 5 stars. Usually it gets better and better every year. This year it felt that TT tried to trick us into buying the more expensive version and to sign-off on sharing our data. TurboTax is more focused on up-selling than UX. We'll be back next year, so please don't ask me to upgrade after every step and repeatedly to share data. Also, we had problems with the final step: TurboTax never sent a code to our email. Maybe the servers were too busy on Sunday. Monday was smooth.
