TurboTax made some mistakes it shouldn’t have

Terrible compared to past years. It didn’t allow ira contributions for spouses, even though the income of both combined qualified. I had to change interest shown from Goldman Sachs because it only picked up 2 of 15 CD accounts. Then it added a line item on the Schedule B that adjusted and removed all of the interest! It didn’t pick up all of Vanguard brokerage information that it should have.

Turbo Tax is Good - Not Great

I found Turbo Tax was easy to use to import data from other financial institutions where I have accounts. The navigation of the product was clumsy and I spent way too much time going back through screens I had already visited because I couldn't get directly to the page I wanted. There were several times I had to spend time doing Internet research to get tips on how to use the input screens where TurboTax failed to supply clear instructions. It would be good to have a "tax form mode" where one can skip the interview process and just enter data.
