Turbo Tax review

As a long time user of Turbo Tax, I was skeptical about the switch to the online version. However, I found it easy to use, with help readily available within the program. The ability to access my file from any computer was helpful as I am in the process of transferring to a new laptop. Some data import utilities were buggy; I couldn't find Navy Federal Credit Union; separately, when importing interest and dividend data from my brokerage house, it populated the worksheets with the USPS standard designation for Court (CT) in my street address into the state field, causing a ZIP code mismatch failure during the review process. I had to delete the forms and reenter the data manually, as it did not allow me to edit the state information, only the zip code.

Easy to use. Catches deductions that you won't like business expense for owning an REIT when they paid a dividend

Fees Galore

Thought I was filing Federal for free and just had to pay for State (as advertised). Come to find out that wasn’t the case. Cost extra $89 for Federal and then a $40 fee to take the payment out of the refund. Please! It’s about as easy as any other service for a basic 1040.

Very Easy Program to use, love the auto transfer year over year and though others are offering similar, Turbo was the first and has been doing this the longest.. Why spend time to take a chance on saving $20?
