I filed as an independent contractor for the first time. I was confused about how self employment taxes and its deductions worked. But even though I did some previous research to get prepared, Turbotax was able to show me (and explain) the deductions I could take, including the earned income tax credit (which I wasn't sure would apply to me this time around). Though I had to pay money to the IRS, I found I would receive tax credit from my state, something I've never encountered before when I was just an employee.
Pros: My employment status changed this year

Could be more convient for the ever growing price

First I tried to use the save 40 dollars through a promotional email and that didnt seem to go through. Secondly I was told I didnt E-file last year through Turbo Tax when I actually did and that caused me to have to take a risk with it getting rejected with my pin number.
