I was able to get through my taxes without too much trouble. Turbo Tax was unable to import account information from Schwab, so I had to enter it manually. I was able to complete my taxes in under two hours.
TurboTax saves information from previous years, which saves time.
Overall Turbotax is a good product. I find it a little concerning that different sections have a different feel in that information is entered in different ways or some of the selections are different. It makes it seem that different teams put together different sections.
Went smoothly overall, except there appear to be glitches relating to distributions from IRA's and 403(b)'s and proper tracking of distributions versus RMDs when accounts must be aggregated within a category (e.g., traditional IRA). Kept prompting me about how I responded to a correction window when there's no problem and a correction window doesn't exist (no IRS notification received). Same problem came up in the Forum and the "expert responder" didn't understand what was going on and answer correctly.
As a previous tax preparer, I find Turbo Tax to be a good way to do my own taxes after retirement. There are a few items that are redundant and confusing -- the numerous RMD questions ...
