TurboTax doesn't work

1 star. Product would not let me Efile any of my returns, and it (and Intuit) could not figure out why. The 1 star is because Intuit promised to refund all of my tax preparation fees. Also, the product tended towards endless loops when trying to review and correct what it thought were errors. It ended up adding duplicate copies of several 1099s. I spent more time troubleshooting TurboTax issues than I did on actually doing the taxes.

User friend but cost is a bit much

The product is expensive in comparison to what I am getting and even my income for the year. Half of my tax return went to paying for this product and its protections. However it is great to use and very user friendly. If I had to give stars for the product it would be 5 but the price is 1 star so you get 3 stars. It would be nice to have a scaling system for those that are low income.

TurboTax is an unnecessary evil

I tried 10-20 separate times to e-file my taxes with the premium version. After it told me it was successful, and taking my payment the website would redirect to a page telling me my taxes did not file successfully and that I was unable to e-file. I took a break for multiple days and came back to get some live help, I went to demonstrate the problem. Of course when I finally get another set of eyes on it, the program immediately files like nothing is wrong.
Pros: I moved, I bought or sold investments

Why do I have to pay a private company to file my taxes when the IRS knows exactly what I owe. Turbo Tax and companies like it should not exist.
