Turbo tax will get your refund!!!

I like the fact that this program guides you through the steps and makes it easier. If you have some type of knowledge base and know terminology you will have a better experience.

Great for just W-2s and nothing else.

Its okay, if your doing basic stuff its just right. But the moment you start doing anything extra like self employed stuff, itemized itinerary, etc, it gets confusing fast and Turbo Tax does a horrible job at explaining. It also adds insult to injury by trying to upsell you when your struggling with extra stuff by trying to get you to upgrade to their even high premium services and "tax expert" services. The Upsell is by far the most annoying feature, you can barely go through 2-3 sections before it tries to get you to upgrade to Max Benefits services, or any other upgraded premium service and you have to scroll to the bottom of the page just to find the continue with current service option each and every time. If Turbo Tax wasnt easily and ready available at anytime to use, I would use another service.

Upsell first, taxes later…

It’s more about adds and selling additional services than completing taxes at this point. There are some services that you have to go out of your way to figure out how to NOT buy them. Services that used to be a part of the base product are now add-ons. Taxes still get done and seem to be accurate, but minimal benefits without paying extra. Will investigate cheaper options next year.
