IP Pin and Price

It was difficult to find where to put in the Federal Identity Protection Pin (IP PIN) and this is a little pricy to file taxes.

Turbotax makes it easy

Very good with one exception. could not enter state income taxes paid last year as an exemption. Maybe the program did so from last years return. anyway it didn't matter as we took the standard deduction and putting in the state income taxes would not have been enough to itemize.

Disappointed in 2025

Upset at the many opportunities TurboTax online uses to money grab. I retired last year. I ended up paying $119 just to file one form because of 1099-B. Seems excessive considering the amount of tax impact was 0. Also upset at all the ways when filing TurboTax tries to make money. For example, $40 to process a 5 day quicker return is extremely excessive.. Etc. I also used a desktop app last year and the online app didn't know about the return? Really? I will likely shop around or pay an individual to do my taxes next year because this was good in that the software helps me navigate, but not a great financial experience.

TurboTax is not worth it

Too expensive, I find it unreasonable to charge this much just for someone who had a little additional capital gains when compared to the free version. The money paid is essentially my capital gains this year after taxes
