Some of the calculations TT used were hidden from us until the 1040 was produced. An example: QCD wasn't part of the data we were to confirm before the 1040 was produced.
When we had issues with a brokerage or IRA account, TT never displayed the account number so it took our time to sleuth this out.
It seemed a bit different this year with the process, but I was able to calm down and figure out the issues with the return and correct them. The product is still very good, but usually it doesn't ask for payment until all is completed , but it asked for and took the payment before completion and then the issues of revisiting popped up, (that was different) and I had to go back again and again to find and resolve the issue (that never happened before) because the system already took the payment and I had to find the errors. Thank God He helped me figure it out.
There are a couple forms that cause looping questions so it took a bit of extra time to sort out that string of error flags but eventually worked out great! It's not as cheap or streamlined as prior years but it certainly gets the job done well enough.
