once again, this was frustrating, expensive and took much longer than promised despite having all of my paperwork in order. The pdfs did not populated in the system properly so I had to type in a lot of it manually. some forms pulled in to the wrong places, it wanted me to pay for the federal before even doing my state taxes. I began with a clock of under 2 hours, it took over 4 hours to complete. it cost almost $400 all in, with all of the wonderful add-ins hitting my checkbook at the las minute. I will defnitely be looking elsewhere especially since so many other services can now pull your records in from turbotax.
easy to file and saved my info from last year. Was not happy about being forced to pay $178 for premium to file with robinhood. The amount of investment income should be taken into account for the premium option requirement. I also feel like it is kind of excessive to charge a $40 processing fee just to pay for premium out of the return as opposed to by credit card.
Overall Turbo Tax makes it easy to self file. A few tabs didn't seem to be working properly such as editing previous self employed income in the cash/checks/other section, but it did allow me to move forward with the return. I also had an employer discount to include in the payments section, however there was not an option to enter this in sadly. These are the reasons why I am rating a 4.
Overall I'm always happy with TurboTax; have used it for 15 years. I've always preferred using the disc version vs the online version. The online version is difficult to troubleshoot and I'm very frustrated in the inability to be able to see what is being entered into the IRS forms as I enter data. The help hints are always very instructive which I appreciate.
