I really like TurboTax, it really guides me through the process. I do wish there were more guided choices when the decision could be determined by information I've already provided either this year or years prior. Would be nice if the help would play out like, "Based on the information you've already provided, this is likely what applies to you, unless..."
Also, help me choose a nickname when submitting a review.
Everything about the experience is easy except help from live experts should be less expensive so it is accessible for more people with lower incomes or tax returns.
I've used Turbo Tax for about 5 years now and it is always on point and easy to use. I review tax returns for a living so filing on my own makes sense. Turbo Tax helps me do that easily and efficiently while keeping me focused on all aspects I have to cover.
TurboTax has become less user-friendly every year. I like to see the forms actually being filed before I file. FInding the download page is way too far into the process and way to obscure. I would like to see a Schedule A data as I submitted so I can verify it in total- NOT the piecemeal, spoon fed data that Turbo Tax insists upon. I want to see the actual forms as they are being prepared -- not the completed sheets at the very end of the long process. What happened to having a Selection bar that includes seeing the forms in process? Complete with easy printing and viewing of other forms. Your money-grubbing multi-fee payment structure has become an annoyance. You lost my 2023 1040-S and are blaming me for "losing" it. And I can't get rid of the stupid page --- where I should be able to peruse my 2024 Return in-progress. It is well documented that I used TT to prepare and file my 2023 returns. I believed that you had resolved a two-user ID issue (old UserID hasn't been used in many years). But it is still there and TT still insists on being stupid about it. I spent more time screwing around with log-on processes of TurboTax and other Financial institutions than actually doing anything useful. Everything is a lot less friendly than in the past. Your feedback loops are pretty useless to the user who simply wants a broader view - broader than the insistent hand-holding approach.
