Getting really sketchy

It does the job, but the increased reliance on hidden fees, dark patterns, and AI shows a pattern that really concerns me. This might well be the end of my 20 year run filing with Turbo Tax

Why pay a CPA??

I've used TT for over a decade. It clean, user friendly, fast, and instill confidence that all is proper and correct. It's particular great to be able to "dig into" most any component of the process to be able to better understand the "why" behind the calculation(s)./
