Having to pay just to pay to file taxes

I've used turbo tax for years to file my taxes. I've never had a complaint until now. Having to pay an extra $40 just because I want to pay my filing fees with my federal return is crazy to me. Basically you have to pay more due to the way you chose to pay. That's just a rip off. So basically You charged me $50 to file my federal and another $40 to file my state and then another $40 just so I could pay to file my taxes with my federal return. Do better. having to pay to pay is just just mind blowing.

Turbotax went Cash Grab

Turbo tax has always been free. This year the most basic package cost me $118, I don't understand why. The service still worked well but I'd like to understand why it is no longer free.
I also didn't like how it tried to upsell me the higher service multiple times throughout the process. I have a very simple return, I don't need anything extra. I think I should only have to answer that one time, not be constantly bombarded by upsells throughout the process.
