Hidden fees

hidden fees everytime you turn around. I ended up paying 163 dollars for basic tax returns

Predatory practices

It's a good product but they have slid downwards into aggressive predatory practices. It'll lead you to opt in for a bank account with them for "$0" cost or a $55 fee to get your refund back 5 days earlier before giving you the option to get your returns in a normal fashion.

Fantastic product

Turbo Tax is a fantastic product I have used for years now. It is extremely user friendly and makes taxes easy for someone who is unfamiliar with typical tax jargon. My single and only recommendation when using it, be careful about the processing fee's/ which product you choose to use/ pay for. I accidentally almost opted into an optional $35 dollar charge for a "5 day faster return" - which wasn't necessary for me- although could be beneficial for others. A year ago I almost purchased the "MAX' plan when it wasn't needed either.. just be careful before you click.

makes it easy but its not free. its advertised as free all over the place. i already owe on taxes, i dont want to have to pay even more
