Crappy Financial Management

TurboTax works well but they have disgusting money grubby habits. 25% of my $950 refund went for their misc fees that aren't transparently shown and that cannot be opted out of when reviewing fees.

Greedy Fees

Turbo Tax now charge for you to pay their fee by having it deducted from your return. This was a low blow, as I did not have the funds right then. ALSO.... you can do this, but its now $44 with a subscription to their Prime benefits. On top of that, They then offer you to get your tax return 5 days early for $35!!!! I decided to go for it and went thru the steps, only to hae the program tel me it could not verity my identity after i put in my drivers lic, Are you kidding? What a joke. The jokes on me/us. I have used Turbo for years and this was really disappointing. Almost like blackmail, if you really need your return
