Misleading service and fees

Pretty simple and quick return process but why does it allow you to fill out forms to increase your return and then tell you at the end that you have to pay to upgrade to a higher service in order to keep your return the same? You should tell people up front that if you want to pay a certain fee you might qualify for more tax breaks to increase your return. I am thankful my return was increased but it did not tell me I had to pay $122 until after I filled out forms and saw my return increase.
