Needs Review and clarity of what the charges are

was charged for a federal return, which was 0 income and 0 return and was not aware of the charge of $48 when it only asked for $40 for the state return

TurboTax makes it easy to upload required forms from all required fields of revenue and expenses. We have used them for years, started when they were free, and are comfortable with them even now that they charge haha. Great system to work with.

Over 10 years filing with Turbo Tax, will continue

I have used Turbo Tax for well over 10 years. I love that I have the choice to be guided through every step, or I can explore on my own, and help is there if I need it, every step of the way. Turbo tax lets me take a picture of my W2s, enter it manually, or upload it directly from my employer. It takes less than an hour to go through the steps. It's very easy to add dependents, retirement contributions, etc. In the state I live (ND) I have to file a state tax return as well. Turbo Tax has this covered, too, and you can file your state return right along with your federal return, making filing all your returns very easy.
After entering all of your information, Turbo Tax runs several checks for both Federal and State (if applicable) returns and double checks your information to ensure everything was entered correctly. This gives me confidence that my returns will be accepted the first time. After the checks, you have several options on how to pay for your filing fees and how to receive your refund. I opt to pay for my filing fees with my refund, which comes with an additional $40 fee. To receive your refund you can have it direct deposited into your bank account, to your Credit Karma account (to receive it up to 5 days early) or to get a refund advance loan, with the remaining funds deposited to your Credit Karma account. If you don't have a Credit Karma account, it takes just seconds to open one, and you get a virtual card immediately (which you can use to spend your refund advance loan, if you get one, with a physical card arriving within 7 business days). The Credit Karma account also allows you to remove funds from your account and instantly add them to a different bank account using your other bank's debit card, incase you don't want to keep the money on your Credit Karma account.
The Credit Karma account and Turbo Tax account are linked together in the Credit Karma app, making it very easy to see all of your information in one place, regarding your refund.
Before filing my return (I opt for the refund advance every year) it tells me if I pre-qualify for the advance and how much I pre-qualify for. I have always pre-qualified for the advance, and received the amount I pre-qualified for, but keep in mind, this is subject to each person individually and results may very. If you do not pre-qualify for an advance, you can still continue and file using the advance and try to be approved, or you can back out and select a different method to receive your refund. I like this because you are not obligated to continue if you don't pre-qualify. The refund advance loan has no fees of any kind, and the amount is taken directly out of your refund, before you receive it. So there is no worry about having to find where to pay it back. You'll get the correct amount of your refund into your account minus any fees or refund advance amount (like paying for your filing costs with your refund, your loan amount, etc).
I have trusted Turbo Tax with filing my returns for over 10 years and I would never trust another company with my tax return. You have the option to pay for additional help, if you are filing a complicated return (stocks, bonds, etc) and with the additional help, they will even be there for you if you are audited. So don't worry if your tax return is complicated, they help you every step of the way already and you can pay for additional help, like one on one chat, or help if you get audited, for a small additional fee. You can even file business tax returns with Turbo Tax with all the same features of walking through each step, one on one help, and help with audits if you're worried.
Turbo Tax is by far the best company to use for filing your taxes. They walk you through every step, they ensure you get all of your information entered correctly, and they run additional checks to ensure your refund if accepted the first time. They guarantee to get you the maximum amount you are owned, and they stand by that guarantee, unlike other companies I have used in the far past. They are here to help, ever step of the way, explain why you're getting the amount your getting-backing it up with accurate information in black and white using easy to understand language, so you know exactly why and how your refund amount came to be. They check and double check all of your information, allow you to pay your filing fees with your refund (for a small fee) and give you several options to receive your refund, including applying for a refund advance, which if approved you receive the loan amount with in 1 minute (up to 15 minutes) after the IRS ACCEPTS your return (not approves, but the very first step of accepting the return.) This makes Turbo Tax the best out of all the competition. I will never file with another company.
