Easy filing

Went very smooth, was able to easily transfer over previous tax info. Few glitches with phone, would let me click on stuff but wouldn’t register. Overall was really good though and headache free
Pros: My employment status changed this year

yay tax time

I've been using turbo tax for years and as usual it went pretty smoothly. My only gripe are the fees, like everything else they just keep going up.

I’m a simple W-2 filer taking the standard deduction with no credits, no investments, and no complicated situations. The actual tax calculations were correct, but the overall experience was extremely frustrating due to repeated upselling and poor transparency. I was asked to add TurboTax MAX multiple times throughout the filing process, even after clearly declining it. The same add-on kept reappearing at different stages, which felt less like guidance and more like an attempt to wear the user down through repetition.
The payment process was even worse. TurboTax heavily promotes paying fees with your refund, but only after selecting that option does it clearly disclose additional processing fees and strict eligibility rules that depend solely on the federal refund amount. This information is presented very late, after significant time has already been spent completing the return. While the fees themselves may be technically valid, the way they are revealed feels intentionally confusing and poorly communicated.
Nothing here felt outright illegal, but the experience felt manipulative. Important details were delayed, optional products were pushed repeatedly, and declining add-ons did not stop them from being shown again. I completed my return despite the process, not because of it. TurboTax still works, but it no longer feels user-friendly. It feels like navigating a sales funnel first and tax software second.

Super easy to use and file fast

Super easy to use, especially with ADP auto transmitting W-2's into the return. It estimated 54 mins to complete the tax forms and we hit it on the nose, may have been faster if I didn't have to double check some figures. I have used this program for 10+ years and will continue for years in the future!
