SO EASY!

I don't have a complicated return and Turbo Tax is user friendly and makes it so easy to do my taxes myself. If I DO need help, it’s just a click away!

I’ve used TurboTax for several years now, and while I always consider trying a cheaper alternative, I keep coming back because they make the process almost too easy. If you are a standard filer with a W-2 and a few basic deductions, here is why it’s worth it:
The "Snap and Done" Experience
The best part of TurboTax is the W-2 import. I didn’t have to type in a single number from my form. I just searched for my employer, logged in, and every box was filled out instantly. This alone saves me about 20 minutes of squinting at tiny boxes and worrying about typos.

It Talks Like a Human
It doesn't feel like you're doing taxes; it feels like you're having a chat. It asks simple questions—"Did you move?" or "Did you have any healthcare expenses?"—and then it handles the complex math behind the scenes. I never had to look at a single confusing tax code or IRS worksheet.

Confidence Before You File
The CompleteCheck feature is a life-saver for my anxiety. It scans the entire return for missing info or weird flags that might trigger an audit. Seeing that "All Clear" green checkmark before I hit the submit button gives me the peace of mind that I’m not going to get a scary letter from the IRS in six months.

Not The Smoothest

This year was pretty difficult to file, not due to the system, but mainly because of this years questions being extremely hard to interpret. The main culprit was North Carolina's State Tax questionnaire. I was abusing the A.I. in hopes of understanding the questions a little bit better and I managed. I recommend allowing the A.I. to have interface with what question the taxpayer is on, that way if they become stuck, they don't have to completely break down the question and multiple choice if it is involved. That's just my suggestion.
